Artist - Corridino Le Piane
Corridino is an extremely talented local artist (who comes to look after the house and pool for me) . He has an MA in art. He is willing to paint a picture (any size) from a photograph you have taken. This can be something you have brought from home (i.e. your house) or a picture say of you during your stay at Olive Grove Farm. His prices are extremely reasonable (and a special discount for OGF guests) and you will not only have a good memory of your holiday but a good investment also. He prefers "landscapes" re "portraits"

Horse Riding – Giuseppe & Fiorella Pino
This a local riding school on a farm located at the back of IKEA – about 20 min. from OGF. The horses are safe, well trained and well cared for, and there are extensive grounds, stunning scenery with many different paths to explore. Ok to hire for the hour or longer, children or/and adults. Again discounts for OGF guests. Beautiful restaurant to relax while non riders wait

Sailing – Giuseppe Pino
The 12metre sailing boat is moored at the beautiful harbour in Pescara. Pino is a qualified sailor. Sailing can be for a morning, afternoon or ofcourse longer periods if required. Prices are very reasonable but of course will depend on number of people participating. For inexperienced sailors Pino is willing to give short sailing courses. This is run by Pino’s wife , Fiorella She is an excellent cook and holds one Day introduction courses in Italian cooking, ideal if you don’t fancy sailing and the rest of the family does!! Abruzzo Rafting is a commercial business devoted to offering its customers high quality rafting trips, fun and safe, in a pristine and beautiful natural environment while enhancing the area and working in harmony with the local communities.
The excursion on an inflatable raft for our regular run lasts about 1.5 hours and is perfect for non-expert families even with young kids. We also have a longer rafting experience from the upper valley which lasts about 3 hours. You will go down an extremely natural and beautiful valley safely. For the more adventurous there is also some rapids which will give you a bit of adrenaline. We provide you with the full nautical equipment: wetsuit, life jacket, helmet and of course a raft, paddle and a guide who will take you down the river. You’ll need to bring a pair of sports shoes for walking in the river, a swimsuit and a towel.? We are on the river every day, and will be happy to accompany you. Tour Guide – Franco D’ Orazio
Franco is a good friend, a retired music teacher who has extensive knowledge of the locality and even as far as Rome. He is a great character and speaks fluently English, German, French, Russian and ofcourse Italian. He is willing to accompany you and introduce you to the" Italian Experience" something you may not get in being a simple tourist. He knows many local farmers and institutions he could introduce if interested. You will see the real Italy with him. He is also familiar with many local restaurants!! Winery - Palmitesta Francavilla al Mare, Abruzzo
This is a superb Winery concentrating only on quality wines. Paulo, the owner, is more than willing to show you around the winery - and of course you can sample the wines. The wines can be purchased for drinking while at OGF or Palmitesta is willing to ship case(s) of wine to your home address if you do not have a car in Italy. The wines are NOT expensive and a MUCH better deal than purchased from a supermarket. The wine can be supplied in bottles or 5 litre boxes. If you supply your own container then the general wine is 1.20 Euros/litre!! It VERY good – I’ve tried it! Francovilla, in my opinion, is much nicer than Pescara so a day on the beach also. They are also prepared to cook a meal etc. If pre booked.
